The City of Lander is pleased to announce the appointment of Kristy Koehn as the City’s new Treasurer. Koehn officially began her role on February 2, 2026, and was sworn in at the Lander City Council meeting on January 27, 2026.

Koehn brings 35 years of accounting and finance experience to the position and has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for 25 years. Throughout her career, she has worked across a variety of industries, serving in financial leadership roles, including as a treasurer in multiple organizations. While this marks her first role as a municipal treasurer, she is enthusiastic about applying her extensive experience in service to the Lander community.

A Fremont County native, Koehn grew up locally before attending the University of Wyoming. Following graduation, she lived and worked in several states before returning to Wyoming in 2008 to be closer to family.

“I look forward to serving the Lander community,” said Koehn. “I value transparency and am committed to safeguarding public funds while ensuring financial accountability. I support long-term fiscal stability and am eager to contribute to the responsible management of public resources and compliance in this role.”

The City of Lander is confident that Koehn’s depth of experience, commitment to transparency, and dedication to sound financial stewardship will be a strong asset to the organization and the community.
