The City of Lander is beginning construction of the Buena Vista Water and Roadway Surface Improvements Project. The project will include roadway reconstruction, water main replacement, roadway realignment, and curb, gutter, and sidewalk improvements along Buena Vista Drive.
Construction in 2026 will focus on the section between U.S. Highway 287 (East Main Street) and Wyoming Street. During this phase, through traffic on Buena Vista Drive will be detoured via 2nd Street, while access for local residents, businesses, and services will be maintained.
The project will be completed in phases over the 2026 and 2027 construction seasons. The City appreciates the community's patience as these important infrastructure improvements are completed and will provide additional updates as construction approaches.
